The Colourful Cascade Story
The Sydney Modern Quilt Guild is delighted to have been asked to design and construct QuiltNSW’s 2024 Raffle prize. Our “Colourful Cascade” is the first modern quilt to be offered as a QuiltNSW annual raffle prize.

How did the quilt get its name? Usually, a membership vote would decide on the title of our group projects. However, with this quilt, one of our retreat attendees exclaimed what a gloriously colourful cascade!” while pondering in front of the design wall. The name Colourful Cascade just stuck.
We had a great time making it. We hope you enjoy this genuinely group-wide project too!
