Hello and welcome to our new blog where I’ll share stories about our members, their quilts and QuiltNSW activities.
So, who am I? I’m Erica Spinks and I’ve been a QuiltNSW member since last century (doesn’t time move quickly?). I was on the Guild’s committee when I was editor of The Template and contributed the Block of the Quarter for years. I’ve edited and written hundreds of quilt patterns and stories for magazines and books.
Oh, I also make quilts (slowly, it must said). This baby quilt is the result of me playing with coloured print squares from my stash. It was professionally quilted by Therese Aiken.
I love sharing stories so let me share yours in this blog. Show me your quilts and tell me about them. Have you made a quilt that has special significance to you or one that you’ve just finished? Email me!
You can email photos and some words about your quilt to me. Tell me if you used a pattern and the designer’s name and, if you had it professionally quilted, the name of the quilter. We like to give credit where it’s due.
So, it’s over to you now! I’ll look forward to hearing the stories behind your quilts.
