QuiltNSW / Arterie Chris O’Brien Lifehouse collaboration – Blue hexagons
On Wednesday 1 August we launched our collaboration with Arterie Chris O’Brien Lifehouse to bring the joy of patchwork to the Arterie community and help make a english paper pieced hexagon quilt – perhaps the largest in Australia!
How can you get involved?
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer your time to either make kits in the office or attend an Open Studio at Arterie Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
- Send into the office some predominantly blue fabric or blue and white fabric that is relatively bright – any value (light to dark) and any shade/tint of blue. [Strips 2 1/2″ or 3″ wide are ideal as we are cutting hexagons with a 3/8″ seam allowance]. Unwanted reels of blue cottons would also be gratefully received.
- Download the Information Sheet and make some at home or with your quilting group, friends, family and send them in.
Please send us an email if you’d like to learn more and get involved. Thank you to all the members who’ve already sent in fabric or hexagons. Thank you also to Danni and Richard of The Quilting Patch for their ongoing donations of Eppiflex hexagon templates.
