I have a small collection of documents and photos about the early days of QuiltNSW. At one stage, I was considering writing a history of the Guild and people started to give me papers (yes, everything was on paper) they had kept. Having always been interested in the Guild, its people and activities, I still think bringing all it all together would be fascinating.
That’s why stories are so important. Here are two photographs of quilts on display at an art and craft display at Bankstown Square shopping centre in 1997. Who organised this? Whose quilts are on display? What was the feedback from the shoppers? Did the display result in more members? So many questions.
